Tekken 8: Full character roster and DLC roadmap

How many characters will meet their fate this time?

Tekken 8 made its mark right after dropping in January, selling millions of copies and setting itself up to be another long-lasting entry in the franchise. And that means Bandai Namco is looking at years of post-launch content to support the game—featuring a full roadmap of DLC and updates.

Every modern fighting game needs to keep things fresh with new updates and content, otherwise the developers risk losing players by the truckload. Tekken 8 is looking to avoid that by promising a full, post-launch DLC roadmap featuring a mixture of free and premium content. This ranges from story expansions, new features, and additional characters joining the roster. So if you want to look at who is available in Tekken 8, and what content is on the way, here is a full DLC roadmap overview for the game.

Tekken 8 Roster Guide: All playable characters and full DLC roadmap

Every playable character in Tekken 8

Tekken 8’s base roster contains 32 playable characters, including three newcomers, one reworked fighter, and 28 familiar faces. Even returning characters have been changed, however, as Bandai emphasized reworking the series and its fighters from the ground up with new yet recognizable elements instead of flooding the game’s roster with newcomers and guest fighters.

Here are all 32 characters in the base game’s roster for Tekken 8, documented in alphabetical order and split between returning fighters and newcomers.

Playable Character Year One Pass will run for a year, releasing a character in Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter—likely leading up to a Year Two Pass announcement at some point in early 2024.
