Dead by Daylight No Mither Perk, explained

Fortune favors the bold.

In the asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight, many Perks offer Killers and Survivors special abilities during a Trial. For Survivors, these Perks can help you heal your teammates quicker, escape the Killer, or complete generators.

David King’s Perk No Mither is unlike any other because it removes a health state in exchange for added benefits. If you are willing to risk your Survivor’s health, here is everything you need to know about No Mither.

How To Use No Mither In DBD

In Dead By Daylight, Survivors have three different health states, which are taken away by the Killer’s attacks. Typically, all Survivors start the Trial healthy, become injured after suffering one attack, then fall to the ground and enter the Dying state after taking a second hit.

Having No Mither equipped will give your character the Broken status effect, meaning you will be permanently injured throughout the Trial and can never be healed past the Dying state. Luckily, No Mither makes it so you never leave pools of blood, and your character’s grunts of pain are 75 percent quieter.

No Mither also allows you to fully recover from the Dying state an infinite amount of times, and your recovery speed is 25 percent faster. While this perk makes you a weaker Survivor overall, combining it with other Perks can give you an upper hand against certain Killers.

Specifically, perks like Unbreakable or Tenacity synergize with No Mither, as these two abilities make you recover from the dying state faster and crawl while recovering. Jake Park’s Iron Will Perk reduces your grunts of pain by a further 75 percent, making your character completely silent while injured.

Sadly, Killers can tell when Survivors are using No Mither, as you’ll start the Trial injured while everyone else is healthy, meaning that an experienced Killer will never leave you on the ground for long. This means you will want to bring perks that help you in a chase, such as Resilience, which makes all your actions nine percent faster while injured.

Ultimately, No Mither should only be used by experienced Survivors, as it makes the game extremely difficult and tips the odds in the Killer’s favor. Even with the added benefits of the Perk, permanently losing a health state can make some games catastrophic, making No Mither niche at best.
